Botanical Name: Cordia dodecandra
Origin: Central and tropical South America

A highly decorative veneer, reminiscent of Rosewood. Its colour varies greatly and can range from a greyish brown to a much
deeper brown, often streaked with darker markings. When present, the contrasting colour of the sapwood, generally cream to
yellowy brown in hue, gives the veneer an unusual, striking appearance. Used mainly for cabinet-work and interior decoration
where a dramatic, exotic look is required.
